WCKA SLAM - World Kickboxing and Karate Championships Canada – October 2023

Fighters from three Welsh Contact Karate Association (WCKA) clubs located in Llandarcy, Penlan and Ammanford are hoping that you will be able to assist our fundraising efforts to send our talented Welsh athletes to the 2023 World Kickboxing and Karate Championships in Canada. This is an amazing opportunity for our young athletes to represent their country and for some, defend their World titles.

We are looking to fundraise to assist with the costs of the flights and accommodation as unfortunately kickboxing and karate does not attract any funding or grants from the Sports Council for Wales. With the costs of living crisis causing many families to struggle at the moment, many talented athletes will, unfortunately, have to forfeit their place at the championships if we are unable to raise the much-needed financial support.
