Hello and thank you for your desire to help us.
My wife and I are very hard working good honest people who landed on some strange difficult times back in 2009.
The first unforeseen problem came when I was laid off due to the poor national economy of the time, a depression in our view. I struggled for a couple of years to work my own side business while seeking steady employment to the best of my ability while my wife worked full time. During this period we got way behind on our bills and were forced into CH7 bankruptcy in 2011.
Around the same time I was able to get one of my old positions back which allowed us to stablize our income.
It was by luck and a miracle that we were able to stay in our home making payments to the mortgage company. The mortgage company made it seem as though there was nothing to prevent us from continuing to remain in our home with no fear of foreclosure.
About three years passed and then out of the blue a credit union we had a HELOC with prior to the bankruptcy said they were going to foreclose as a second lien holder. Needless to say this was a big shock to us.
To cut this tragic story short, all I can say is that every amount of income and “extra” cash we have earned over the past few years has gone into saving our home. We live very modestly paycheck to paycheck. The only remedy now is to refinance, but it requires almost $7,000.00 for closing using my VA bill (the ONLY loan possible for us at this point).
Unfortunately we only have 5 months to come up with the closing cost funds, thus the need for your assistance.
It is not easy for us to humble ourselves to ask for donations, but at this point it is our only avenue.
I do have my professional creative and cartooning services to offer in return if you wish to help by purchasing my labor. If this is of interest to you please contact me so we can work out an agreement.

Once we save the property via refinancing it is our plan to divide and split off the West half to sell to one of our kids enabaling us to pay down the principle.
In the big scheme of things, our needs are small and simple, but it means the world to us...indeed it is the difference in being homeless and retaining our home where we raised our kids and grandkids the past fifteen years!
