Medical care for Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear, or Ted as his friends call him, is one of the lovable rescue horses. When Ted was rescued, he was near starvation. With a special diet and loving care, Ted regained approximately 700 lbs. He is our gentle giant and is as sweet as can be. He loves carrying people across the battlefield and loves hugs when their trip is over. Sadly, Ted has been having medical issues for the past year and has undergone numerous tests with several vets consulting specialists to diagnose mysterious chronic urinary/kidney issues, which are progressing. . We are trying to keep him from getting depressed by letting him be with the visitors as much as we can. His only recourse at this time is to be admitted to an equine hospital for more extensive tests. Of course this is a very costly venture, but we want to do everything we can to help Ted keep his happy, peaceful life he has finally achieved and deserved. Can you help us get him there?!"

The mission of National Riding Stables Horse Rescue is to save distressed horses from abuse, neglect, and slaughter and to place them in retirement homes as trail or companion horses. This is a non-profit organization created to rescue, heal, rehabilitate, and retrain distressed horses.
