Greetings,
The St. George's College Alumni Association in collaboration with the school, has planned a venture named "PROJECT 500" where we would like to raise $500,000.00 by the end of the first quarter of 2020.
St. George's College was the first co-educational government secondary school to be established in this country. It became the blueprint for successive government schools to be built. St George's College is regarded as one of the premier institutions in the country producing well rounded, accomplished and capable students who occupy key positions in your organization and the society at large. On September 14, 2019, we celebrated our 66th anniversary.
We are kindly requesting your donation to ensure that PROJECT 500 is successful enough to provide much needed resources for the school. Whilst we have won many accolades, we are nowhere near the top like the other schools. We have old classrooms, old toilets, unkempt landscape, poor air condition units, no toiletries and the list can go on and on.
Your assistance has now become critical with the downturn of the economy which resulted in a much smaller government subvention, compounded with, in some instances, slow releases of assigned funds at the beginning of the financial year to the school.
We owe it to the children, our future leaders!
Below is a breakdown of the projected expenses targeted at funds raised, with 100% of the proceeds going towards:
* Painting of school- $150,000.00 TTD
* Air Conditioning of hall- $150,000.00 TTD
* Library upgrade- $50,000.00 TTD
* Classroom upgrade- $ 100,000.00 TTD
* Staff room upgrades- $50,000.00 TTD
