Urgent appeal: Despair in Gaza

My name is Ahmed Atwa Ibrahim Kalousa

A newly graduated engineer in the Interior Design Department in Gaza, a new interior designer. I was supposed to start my career and achieve the dreams that I worked for, but I found myself losing the city in which I live and losing any hope for a better future. After years of study and training, the war had another idea

Before the war, I was looking for a job and got a job with a small amount of money, but nothing was enough for me. Shortly after graduation, the war, destruction, and stories of displacement began. My workplace was destroyed and there was nothing calling for work.

I thought about immigrating to build a better future and a comfortable life. But I do not have the capital to emigrate outside Gaza.

I am now trying to collect money so that I can travel outside Gaza and complete my future and my private life. Every help and contribution from you, even if it is 10 euros, is so that I can continue to live and be able to achieve my dreams and travel to complete a better future free of destruction, death and bombing.

ABOUT MOHAMMED

And this is my friend Mohammed Omar Shaaban Farroukh, who is 20 years old, and has been supporting me to raise funds via this page. Like so many of us here in Gaza, Mohammed now is also in dire need himself. So we are now including him and his family as shared beneficiaries of this fundraiser.

I have known Mohammed since we were very young, he is from Sheikh Radwan and used to work in a sewing factory, but he and some members of his family have also been displaced to Deir-el Balah. His dreams before the war were to work hard at his work and build his future, but the war came and destroyed everything.

Mohammed currently needs to raise 800 Euros to purchase a new tent as winter comes; and funds to support some of his family who are trapped in the north of Gaza. There, they are suffering from starvation and illness.

Money raised from donations here will go towards basic provisions like food, water, clothes and medical supplies for our families. If we are able to raise more funds in the short term, we would also like to support the community around us.

In the longer term, when the war has ended, I will hope to use any remaining funds tfor

- Rebuilding our homes.

- Rebuilding our workplaces (material and labor)

- Purchasing basic equipment and supplies (tools, machines and other materials necessary to resume our work)

- Covering immediate living expenses (rent, food and other basic necessities)
