We're Overcrowded & Stressed (Kids Deserve Better)

Hi, my name is Santana,

I am married and currently live in a 1-bedroom council flat with our 2 young kids.

We are a family of four, forced to resort to having three beds pushed up against the wall, with hardly any space left to spare. We find ourselves in a difficult situation and we need your help. You may have seen our situation on the Channel 5 TV programme. Westminster council will not provide us with suitable accommodation for all of us, even though we are overcrowded and there are times when I sit down and cry out of frustration, stress and overwhelm.

Nobody wants to swap with us on any of the exchange websites, and living in our current 1-bedroom council flat is very depressing for all of us. My son doesn't have enough space to be free and happy. He's forced to share a room with the whole family. It's very constricting and is only making it harder for us as time goes on, and the kids grow older.

Can you imagine how wonderful it would be if we could all have our own bedrooms, I can tell you truthfully we would be so much happier if we could each have some privacy and our own space. This is why I'm asking for your help today. We need to raise enough money to move out of this tiny flat and into a new home where we can all be comfortable. With your support, we hope you can help us.

Our goal is to raise funds for a house deposit so we can move out of London.
