We Back Chief Bukala
Donation protected
My name is Angela, my husband, Steven Bukala, was a Police Officer for 27 years. The last 7 years he served as the Chief of Police. As a Police Officer he took an Oath to uphold the United States Constitution along with the Constitution of the State of Michigan. On June 2, 2020, the Chief made a public announcement informing the community that there were 4 individuals open carrying and exercising their right. The announcement continued to say the Lowell Police Department supports the 2nd amendment and the armed citizens. A few individuals voiced their concerns regarding the language used in the public announcement. The inquiry from the individuals was to not allow the boys to bear arms and open carry. Had the Chief complied with the wishes of those individuals, he would have infringed upon the constitutional rights of the four men, but Chief refused to do that. On June 4, 2020, he was forced to resign from the Lowell Police Department as the Chief of Police regarding this matter stating his words violated the department social medial policy and conduct unbecoming a police officer. He is prepared to fight for OUR Constitutional Rights with Attorney Katherine Henry. We need your help financially to win this fight in court. The funds will go to Steve for his legal defense regarding his employment and legal issues with the first and second amendment This is much larger than Chief Bukala. This is about upholding the US Constitution 1st and 2nd amendment rights.
