We got scammed for $10,000

Hi my name is Laura and George Martinez. We're doing the fundraiser to try to help ourselves to reimburse some of the $10,000 that was stolen from us. My vehicle had broken and I saw a vehicle on Craigslist. So instead of fixing my vehicle I decided to get another one that was running well. It was a 2021 Hyundai sonata. The girl was so nice the cover picture of her ideas on the cover here. We're not sharing anybody's personal information cuz it's a fake ID the police said. Well we decided to meet and at a safe place at an store parking lot she seemed so nice and we test drove the car with her. We ended up purchasing the car got the keys from her the title she took a picture of my ID now I'm worried where my ID information is going. So the next day we go to get the title for the vehicle under our names and they said that the title she gave us was whitewash that they had erased the previous owners information and put her information on there. We called the police when we get home and they took the title as evidence and said that it's a scam going on. We won't be reimbursed in anyways from Craigslist or anything. It's a scam going around they contacted the news agencies to try to get this out there for people to please be careful.
