Mark Haley(Hales) We Got You- Brain Surgery

Hi, we have organized this GoFundMe in support of our brother-in-law Mark, our sister Ann, J.R. and Kelli as they navigate this incredibly difficult period in their lives.

On March 5, Mark endured a subdural hematoma post-surgery for a CSF leak, which resulted in a life-or-death medical emergency. This has left Mark and his family fighting an enormous uphill financial, emotional, and physical battle. Mark has been in the ICU and has endured five brain surgeries.

Mark is a loving member of the South Bend community and is cherished for his warmth, resilience, and unwavering spirit, particularly within the baseball community. He has mentored and coached countless youths to fulfill their dreams of playing baseball. He is a father figure to many, an inspiration to his nieces and nephews, and a friend to all. To know Mark is to love Mark.

Due to the multiple surgeries to control and manage the brain hematoma, the road to recovery will be a very long one. Although we are incredibly hopeful, there are still so many unknowns.

As friends and family, we are coming together to support Ann and Mark during this challenging time. From medical bills to rehab costs, out-of-pocket costs, transportation, and day-to-day expenses, we are hoping to ease the burden on Ann, who will be the one managing and navigating Mark's care on a day-to-day basis.

Mark has touched so many lives, and now it is our turn to show him just how much he is loved. As we all know, if the shoe were on the other foot, Mark would be the one organizing and gathering the team to show up and support any and all of us.
