We got you Pauline ❤️

Pauline Craig was struck by a car while walking in Eugenia, Ontario with three friends on July 19. A car hit all four of them from behind killing Kevin Walsh and injuring his wife Lisa Pottier and their friend Mike Reid before fleeing the scene.

Pauline was critically injured and airlifted to London Ontario with life-threatening injuries. She’s recovering in hospital, in an induced coma, and her prognosis has improved greatly. Dave Meslin, her partner, is by her side with family and close friends. We’re all expecting Pauline to pull through, with a very difficult and long journey of recovery and rehabilitation ahead. Pauline has multiple fractures, broken ribs and a punctured lung with tests and procedures ongoing.

To say that this has put a strain on Pauline and Dave’s frugal, down to earth way of living barely covers it. Pauline will be unable to work on her garden design and native species business, nor her side hustle consulting on public parks, cycling infrastructure and pedestrian safety. Friends are scrambling to pick up the pieces but all of this is over for the foreseeable future.

We are raising money to help offset the costs of caring and providing for what Pauline and her care team need at this point. Stories of how Pauline and Dave have made an impact on our lives are limitless. They’re extraordinary people, always doing for others, it’s time we stepped in and did this for them.
