We got your back, Brittoni

Donation protected
Brittoni will always be remembered for her tenacious love for her family and for her passionate commitment to fight for justice. Her life was dramatically changed in July of 2022 when she lost her husband to police violence. Since the day Modesto Police needlessly took Paul's life to the moment she passed, Brittoni fought relentlessly for justice. She fought as well for justice for others whose lives were stolen by police terror. She reached out from her grief to share her strength with other victims of police brutality. She endured constant disrespect from Modesto's Mayor, City Council, MPD and MPOA. She put up with false friends like the one mayoral candidate who promised to support her just to turn around and shamelessly pander to MPD for votes. She managed somehow to find the time and energy to fight for Paul while also raising three young boys and holding down a job. Brittoni deserved the sympathy and respect of the entire community, but she endured outrageous and arrogant harassment from local government officials like the council member who outright and blatantly called her "stupid" as she spoke during City Council meeting public comments. Half the city council would audibly and mockingly guffaw at her from their official seats of power on a regular basis. NONE OF THIS WOULD PHASE HER.

Brittoni's family meant everything to her. She loved her 3 young boys and she struggled through all the throes of the trauma MPD thrust on them in order to teach them to follow God and live for what's right.

We, as Brittoni's friends and as members of her community, owe it to her and Paul and to their 3 boys to do what we can to have her back in death as she had ours while she was still here with us. One way we can do this is by making sure her 3 sons- Paul, Josiah and Abraham-are cared for and that her parents can tend to the various financial hardships they will face during this burdensome time. Please consider contributing. Donations will go to Brittoni's mom to help with funeral expenses and other costs resulting from her tragic loss such as caring for her 3 grandsons.
