My Story
My name is Tunc Tatlici, and I am about to embark on my Executive MBA program at Bayes Business School, Dubai https://www.bayes.city.ac.uk/about/our-rankings. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Milan Bicocca, I built a strong investment banking experience in various international banks with a focus on credit, corporate financing and structured deals.
My recent admission to the MBA at Bayes Business School is one of my greatest achievements and yet only the first step towards achieving this vision. At Bayes, I hope to create a global business network, gain new perspectives and develop a solid strategy, to become a better sustainable entrepreneur.

My Vision & Goal
During my studies and after my graduation, I will be focusing on smart FinTech solutions which could impact positively on carbon emission and promote sustainable solutions. The basic characteristics of FinTech has always been linked to innovation and has contributed positively towards sustainability. This is an important goal, and it is at the heart, of many companies’ environmental, social and governance decision making.
As the vision continues with your support, I look forward to inviting you as a “Future Investor” for the projects and the start-ups that I would be launching on sustainable solutions through FinTech. I cannot give you any specific details of what these will look like currently, as I know that the EMBA will really help me in developing these ideas in to fruition. This is why, for me, your support is imperative. Below is an idea of the project I will be looking to undertake, which was highly praised by Bayes Business School during my interview process and was one of the reasons I was awarded “The Bayes High Potential” award.
I will look to raise public awareness through forums, such as “Green Forum: The Twin Millennials, Sustainability & FinTech”, in Dubai, through Bayes Business School. I will be inviting both international and local financial institutions, government related entities, corporations and sustainable FinTechs to discuss how sustainability can be implemented within the city, and what we can do to help drive this forward. This will also be an opportunity for you to be either an attendee or a speaker and be a part of the change. A change that will allow us to leave a world behind that is viable for all those who will come after us. I truly believe that the best ideas come through collaboration and therefore, this will be one of the first initiatives I will implement during my EMBA.

The Challenge:
I need your help and support in raising a portion of the funds that will kick-start this journey for me. So far, I have secured 20% through Bayes High Potential Award and 40% from my savings, which leaves another 40% for me to raise. The money I need to raise is 20,600 British pounds by September 2022.
I am kindly asking you for your support and contribution. I believe throughout this EMBA project you will have an opportunity to get to know me and to understand that throughout this process although not an easy one, the vision and goals I have set for myself have really catalyzed this journey for me.

Why crowdfunding?
EMBA funding is one of the biggest barriers faced by those who want to attend a business school, whether you need to raise the entire amount or just a fraction of the amount. Conventional banks where I live do not provide loans designed for students, but instead, would offer me a personal loan which comes with high interest rate.
I believe that we grow together only if we give back. This is not just about money, it is about us working collectively, with the resources available to us, to make a real change. This is also not a new phenomenon. Great things have come from collective support and crowdfunding. For instance, Mozart, himself, personally thanked and printed the names of his donators in his original manuscript when he needed help to perform his newly written concerto. Also, in 1874, the Statue of Liberty was supported by fundraisers from France and America for its completion.
