Fundraising for our rescue horses

Hi, my name is Virpi and I’m fundraising for my two rescue horses(before/after pics in the profile picture). I’m doing this with my friend Annasofia who have had two rescue horses for awhile now. So altogether we have four horses to rehabilitate. At the moment our horses are physically much better but the mistreating goes deeper than that.

We’ve always been fond of horses and good friends since little kids.

First horse, Donna, came to Annasofia five years ago the day it was supposed to be put down! The slaughterer refused to take her as she was too skinny for slaughter. Donna was sick and in pain as Annasofia ran to her just soon enough to se them putting Donna in a trailer.

The two of them made it against all odds and after few years Annasofia took in another rescue called Dakota.

He had big behavioural issues(today he is the most affectionate!).

Couple years later I joined her, around six months ago and took two horses called Zorro(above in the picture) and Toccara(below). They were both not so good physically, especially Toccara was in much pain and sore. She even had old bleeding wounds in her legs. They are still in progress of gaining trust to people and we have to be careful around them. We have came a long way already and still putting in consistent work to regain their trust and rehabilitate their bodies. Groundwork is the key now that their backs arent pain free and it also provides more flexible excercise for them.

With the donated money we will pay stable expenses such as hey and rent. 

Possible other equipment we will use in the process of giving back: as soon as our horses are ready we will start offering therapy horse services.
