We lost more than a child

Dear friends and supporters,
My name is Jake and I need your help. I lost my son in a devastating car accident in 2020. He was helping a friend in need, giving them a ride to work after their car broke down. But on his way back home, he fell asleep at the wheel and had a tragic head-on collision. My heart was shattered when I lost my son, and I've been struggling to pick up the pieces ever since.
To make matters even worse, I received a letter from the other driver's insurance company stating that I was responsible for a $24,000 uninsured motorist payout. The car my son was driving was in my name, and I had signed the title over to him, but it seems he never completed the transfer process at the DMV. As a result, the insurance company held me responsible for the payout.
I explained my situation to the insurance adjuster and asked for their help, but a year went by with no word from them. I later found out that the adjuster I spoke to had retired and my case had fallen through the cracks. The insurance company even went as far as to suspend my driver's license until I paid the $24,000.
I am not one to ask for help, but I am in a difficult position and need your support. My father was kind enough to pay the insurance company, but I want to repay his generosity. I hope that with your help, I can make things right and show that good deeds can be rewarded.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Every little bit helps, and I appreciate your support more than you know.
