The Hawkins-Marlowe Family, Cape Coral, FL

We lost our home, 90% of our furniture and a good portion of our personal effects from hurricane Ian. Our insurance doesnt cover flood damge so they will be paying us nothing. We have filed through FEMA but no clue when or how much they can help us. We are focusing on one project at a time, but have no idea where we are going to live long term. Sarah and I are unable to return to work yet because we have to clean out our home for the owner to start renovations. We dont know if we have to pay out the lease while we also paying rent at a second location. We also have to pay for storage units to house the belongings we are able to salvage. My mom lost her home on FMB and is also staying with us during this time.
