We love Eric & the Gossett Family

Hi friends of Eric and the Gossett family,

 

Eric was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. As we can all imagine, the diagnosis has been met with grief, ups and downs and much ambiguity. Eric and family have a big task ahead as they walk through treatment and medical procedures.

 

We know Eric and Shelly have many friends, family and colleagues who want to provide support. We want to ease the burden of day-to-day tasks so they can focus on navigating this journey. We have thought of FOUR tangible ways to support the Gossetts.

3. We have set up this gofundme to be used for anything that will lighten their load in some small way… house cleaning, yard work, snow removal, grocery delivery, and the additional needs that will arise in the coming months.

 

4. Touching base as the weeks go by is one of the best ways to keep them encouraged. You can call or text, send a card, care package, etc. to let the them know you are thinking about them.

“Many of those reminders from God come as phone calls asking to pray with Eric, texts flooding our phones filled with words of optimism, cards with handwritten expressions of care, sunshine surprises at the front door, sweet honey found in the mailbox, opened packages containing beautiful handpainted sunflowers on canvas, healing plants sitting on the door step ready to brighten our home, and daily scripture telling us of His faithfulness.

 

While the news was a sucker punch at the moment, we are encouraged daily by God's constant reminders that He has us in the palm of His hand. We know we are not only loved by our Maker, we are loved by all of you.”

 

We told them it is our privilege & honor to provide them support in every way possible. They have faith and hope in their hearts and we do as well as we come alongside them in this.
