"We Love Kona" for Love on a Leash

Kona the Love Sponge is one of the country's most deeply respected golden retrievers. He has dedicated his entire life to volunteer therapy work with his human mom, Sue.


Through the Love on a Leash pet therapy organization, they have together made a real impact and brought joy to thousands of lives. They've been recognized far and wide for their efforts -- Kona even has his own day named after him (August 20 is officially "Kona the Therapy Dog Day" in the city of San Diego!).

The GoFundMe Team might remember Kona as the subject of Jordan P.'s very first Gives Back campaign! Kona even came to the GoFundMe office to receive his big check:


Sadly, Kona is rapidly reaching the end of his life. Due to an aggressive form of cancer, he has perhaps one to two days left on this Earth.

We want to show our support and appreciation for Kona and Sue to honor all they've done together. Kona is receiving a world of love from his family and friends, including visits, pets, flowers, treats, and a whole slew of other goodies.

But since we're GoFundMe, we thought, what better way to send Kona off than with a contribution to the organization he dedicated his life to?


All funds will go directly to the Love on a Leash, Inc. organization through our charity payment processor, PayPal Giving Fund. We will present this campaign to Sue as a gift within the next few days.
