We Love Little Gasparilla Island - Hurricane Recovery

We initially planned to step back on this one out of exhaustion and broken heartedness, but the overwhelming number of calls and requests has changed our minds. People from all over the world clearly feel more comfortable donating to LGI when our names are involved. That’s why, for the recovery of this beloved slice of paradise, we’ve set up this GoFundMe.

No official or aid has reached us since Hurricane Milton hit. It’s like we no longer exist while others get the resources. The devastation is immense, and heavy machinery will be needed just to begin the recovery. It’s heartbreaking and traumatic to witness the destruction. Far worse have been the phone calls to those dearest to us to let them know that their homes were obliterated.

This time, we fear LGI may be left to recover on our own from a catastrophe far worse than Hurricane Ian—something none of us could have imagined. We assure you that every donation will be used in the best way possible to restore Little Gasparilla Island.
