We Love Sweet Devin and The Montelongo Family!

As some of you know, the Montelongo family is going through tremendous hardship in 2020. Zeus and Jessica's beloved 7year old son, Devin was recently given a diagnosis no parent wants to hear and have spent over two weeks at Dell Children's Hospital because of it.... Here is a statement from Zeus and Jessica:
"We never thought in a million years that we would be sitting here typing this, but here we are full of emotions and lost for words. These past two weeks have been the ultimate test of our faith and without a doubt the hardest, but no matter how hard it has been our faith stands strong in our Savior Lord Jesus Christ! We received the most heartbreaking news that our Devin Cruz Montelongo has Stage 3 Hodgkins lymphoma cancer and is now receiving chemotherapy. Our amazing little boy has been so strong and brave. No matter how tough the days have been for him he continues to smile and tells us that he will beat this with faith because God has touched his heart. For those of you who know Devin, know that he's a fighter and speaks his mind. He has shed his tears and poured his heart out to us in the hospital that he does not want to use the word fight because it's an ugly word, saying "why do I have to fight when I can beat this with faith" So for Devin let's beat this with faith!!! Let us pray in Jesus name for this child of GOD. #FAITHFORDEVIN #PRAYFORDEVIN #FAITHBEATSFEAR #CHILDOFGOD"
In addition to being inundated with continued mounting medical expenses due to this diagnosis, Jessica is a stay at home mom and Zeus has not been able to work since March until recently due to his barber business being rendered non-essential during the COVID shutdown.
For those who love this precious family.....those of us at Strickland Christian School, Gateway Church Austin, family, friends, friends of friends, friends and coworkers in the barber industry..... it is in our hearts to make sure that the Montelongos can spend time focused on what really matters....healing, family and rest. All funds donated to this campaign will go towards medical expenses, basic needs, offsetting financial loss due to missed work, travel back and forth for medical appointments, restful and respite activities that bring solitude and comfort in the midst of these storms, as well as anything else that the Montelongos need during this difficult time. Lets love them well and be a part of God restoring back to the Montelongos what the enemy has attempted to steal from them in this season.
