We love Tracey. We hate cancer.

Hello, we are Tracey's friends and asking for your help to support Tracey through a very difficult time in her life.

 

For those who do not know, Tracey has the dreaded “C” word…cancer and she needs our help!

 

Backstory:

In February Tracey started experiencing abdominal pain and bloating, naturally she thought she was constipated, but also, if you know Tracey, that was odd. After several doctor visits and a trip to the ER it was discovered that she had a large mass on her ovary. On March 1st she underwent surgery to remove the ovary and mass. During that time it was discovered that she has extensive cancer throughout her abdomen and further testing revealed that she has Ovarian Serous Carcinoma Stage 3C - aka really dumb, really rare cancer. Because of the amount of cancer, she was not operable, so the treatment plan began with 4 intense rounds of chemotherapy every three weeks. And now here we are…..

 

Now:

Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21st Tracey will have a debulking surgery which will entail a full hysterectomy, including her cervix, and also removal of any other visible cancer throughout her abdomen, which may include part of her colon. We will not know until surgery begins how extensive the surgery will be and it may take 8-12 hours to complete.

 

Following recovery, it is planned that Tracey will endure another 4 rounds of chemotherapy every 3 weeks.

 

Problem:

Cancer. It is a problem. A big problem. Tracey has been out of work since March 1st and will remain out of work through her debulking surgery recovery and chemotherapy treatments. The full recovery typically takes over a year from the beginning of diagnosis.

 

Tracey has medical bills, expenses for travel and parking, prescription costs, supplements, and living costs that have created a financial strain. Prior to this major surgery the bills have already climbed to $50,000 which does not include daily expenses.
