"WE LOVERS" Goes to the Hollywood Fringe!

Dear Fellow Storytellers and Dreamers,

Our team is reaching out with a vision close to our hearts, and a story itching to be told on a larger stage that celebrates the raw, the real, and the magically surreal. "We Lovers," a play born from the mind of San Diego-based playwright Christian St. Croix, originally nurtured into life by the Conundrum Theater Company, now seeks to stretch its wings wider, aim higher, and delve deeper.

This is a story that intertwines the mundane with the magical, where love stories are not just told but felt, in a clearing that exists somewhere between reality and the places our hearts take us. In these tales, an angel falls in love, a woman searches a party full of monsters for her ghost boyfriend, an 80s slasher flick final girl makes the ultimate sacrifice, and small town lovers race to escape a falling sky.

As we set our sights, and our hearts, on the Hollywood Fringe Festival, our ambition is not just to perform, but to transform. We’re excited to bring you along on this journey with us!

What is the Hollywood Fringe Festival?

The Hollywood Fringe Festival is an inclusive, annual celebration held in Los Angeles, offering a platform for artists to present their work in an open-access format. It encourages artistic freedom, collaboration, and community engagement, showcasing a wide range of performances, including theater, comedy, dance, and music, fostering innovation and expression.

How will your donation support us?

Our team aims to enhance our production value. A large sum of these funds will go towards renting a venue, which can range between $2,500 - $3,000. Other funds will also be delegated towards production equipment, such as for scenic and lighting design. We're also looking to hire a professional photographer to help create portfolios for both the playwright and the emerging artists involved in this production. As artists, we lovers support each other!

Our Journey Requires Fuel: $4,000 (Stretch Goal: $5,500)

Our dreams are big, but the realities of bringing them to life are reflected in the need for our goal. The majority of this fund will be dedicated to the rental of our venue space, along with supplementary production costs, such as scenic design, projections, lighting, costuming, and props.

$250 - Star - Crossed Lovers: All items above, plus exclusive reserve seating, and a Social Media Shout Out.

$500+ - True Lovers: All items above, be listed as an Executive Sponsor, a title we’ll carry with pride in our program, and one exclusive 20x26” marquee poster signed by the entire cast and crew.

Lovers’ Night Lottery Event

As an extra incentive for donating, we will be holding a lottery which will be open to all. The Grand Prize will be a romantic, candle-lit dinner for two at the Dresden Restaurant & Lounge in Los Feliz, on behalf of all of us on the We Lovers team. All donors will be entered regardless of the tier of their donation, and a winner will be announced after bows on Closing Night. The winner will also be contacted at a later date.
