We need help paying off Digit's debt...

Last year, Digit was diagnosed with pure red cell aplasia... A few months ago, he unfortunately relapsed from it and was in the ER receiving blood transfusions and steroids to stabilize him. When he got to the ER, his RBC was at 6% when it should be 25-45%.

What's pure red cell aplasia?

Pure red cell aplasia destroys his red blood cells on their way out of his bone marrow–which basically means, he needs medicine and care for the rest of his life in order to stay alive.

When this all happened, I had just recently got out of an involuntary unemployment and had a new job for only a few weeks . My savings and checking account were both depleted, meaning I had nothing extra to give to his bills...and his bills were extremely high.

After his first time at the ER vet, he came home...and then he crashed again. I had to rush him the hospital for a SECOND time.

His body was basically eating through the blood given to him at a rapid rate. I rushed him to the ER as he was too fatigued to stand. He peed all over himself, and he cried to wake me up. They immediately gave him a transfusion, but they have no more blood to give him, so to give him a decent chance, I rushed him 3 hours away to the Columbus MedVet.

He ended up needing about 6 blood transfusions while his meds kicked in. The constant hospitalization and transfusions made the bill even higher... And now I'm struggling with this bill.

It's really my bill to handle. But if you're able to give...it would help us out so much. It's currently in carecredit at about $9,300 with an extremely high interest rate.
