We need help with expenses for Airchexx.com
Donation protected
Each month, the operating costs of Airchexx.com, an online museum of broadcast radio history, are not being met. Here's the deal.
Our server fees - the actual server that the Airchexx.com website exists on - are on the order of $250.00. The amount of donations we receive via the PayPal link on the front of the website is almost $0.00. Almost, because once in a great while someone donates $5 or $10. While it's greatly appreciated, it doesn't come close to covering the operating costs.
Airchexx.com has been online since May 2, 2002. Since that time I have had to foot most of the bill myself. Along with the server fees, we have a streaming server for two internet radio stations that are hosted by Airchexx.com. AirchexxLive.com, which is a 24/7 station streaming all radio airchecks, and HitOldies.net, our Classic Hits Station. Because of HitOldies, I also must pay for music licensing.
I desperately need to catch up. Using the family money during the pandemic has nearly exhausted all of our available cash. Both Airchexx.com and HitOldies.com MUST be self-sufficient. I even have Google Adsense advertising on the site, and it only brings in about $30 a month. Still, not even close.
Between the music licensing and the server, Airchexx and HitOldies cost over $500 a month! I cannot continue providing this free service to the world as a museum of American Radio History unless I receive support from the community.
Here's where you come in. Check out Airchexx.com and then sample HitOldies.net. Listen to our content. If you think these are a valuable commodity that need to continue operating, then PLEASE make a generous donation to help me pay the bills. Otherwise, I really will have to pull the plug. My wife is disabled and in severe pain due to Spinal Stenosis; she is facing costly surgery and medicare is not going to pay for it. Please, help me make Airchexx and HitOldies self-sufficient. I set a goal of $1,000, but in reality, several thousand would keep the sites operating till the end of the year without me raiding our family bank account.
Airchexx.com is a labor of love. I did this so that everyone who remembers listening to the radio as a kid, or who worked in the radio industry can have an online listening post, that's free of charge. It's so important to me and if I have to close this, it'll be like a part of me dying. You have no idea how grateful I would be to anyone who chooses to support this worthy cause.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and God bless you!
