WE NEED SHAWNA TO BEAT CANCER, FOR THE 2nd TIME!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Susannah and I wish I was introducing you to my extraordinary friend, Shawna Marie Hamilton, under different circumstances. Shawna has been diagnosed with lung cancer, stage 2. Five years ago, around this same time, she had been diagnosed with breast cancer which resulted in a double mastectomy. She has been in remission since then because she is a fighter who has so many reasons to live but first and foremost are her grandbabies, all 6 of them and of course her 3 children!
Let me try and do Shawna some justice as it will be difficult to really describe exactly who Shawna is. She is unlike anyone I've ever met!
Shawna is larger than life and to be around her is contagious! I always leave her wanting to do something that will help others. She is all about positivity. Just look at her Facebook page! It is all about positivity She is always doing something to help others. She is so passionate about life that she leaves herself wide open by being vulnerable. By being REAL. She is an opinionated woman that isn't afraid to speak her mind and sometimes that gets her in trouble but she knows that God knows her heart. She gets involved with life and is not one to sit and watch the world go by. I have witnessed her helping people find roofs over their heads, jobs that she has heard about or programs for the poor. I can honestly say that if Shawna had only 2 cents to her name, you can count on getting one of them if you are in need. She is most definitely a contributor in this life of ours because she truly cares. She has your back no matter the situation and YOU CAN COUNT ON HER. We need more Shawna's around to be our cheerleader, our ride-or-die, our faithful friend during these uncertain times.
Those grandbabies of hers are the next generation and we will have humans that were raised with kindness and love with the wisdom of their Nonna, Italian for grandma.
Shawna's path hasn't been easy. She has had to struggle for just about everything she has. She is a single woman that lives with her beloved fur baby, Luna, in a sweet apartment in Oregon. She LOVES to cook incredible meals (as seen on her Facebook page), she's very crafty and enjoys creating anything that she can sell and make a little extra income to add to her $900.00 check from Social Security. The struggle is real.
FACTS: Shawna has beat Cancer once before and so she goes to battle again. This past January 25th, they biopsied her lung and found it to be malignant. Surgery was scheduled for the 21st of February where they ended up removing 15% of her lung. This coming March 7th, she is expected to meet with her team of doctors to discuss her future plan.
In the meantime, she is at her home with her baby Luna, staring at the surgeon's release instructions that say for 6 weeks, she is to rest. No housework, no grocery shopping, no picking up anything over 5 pounds. She needs peace and quiet to heal and gather strength for whatever may be ahead. The last thing she needs is to have to worry about anything.
SHAWNA HAS HELPED SO MANY PEOPLE IN HER LIFETIME, AND IT'S TIME THAT WE HELP HER!
Donated funds will go to getting her a reliable vehicle as she has to travel 26.2 miles to get to her doctor. She will need gas to get to her appointments each week, along with basic necessities such as food, cleaning agents (she's a clean freak:) everything it takes to run a home. Shawna is a survivor and so she is always trying to barter but that has come to an end, so she can concentrate on her health.
Both of Shawna's parents died last year, one after the other and so she will be fighting this horrific disease on her own. But you would never know it because she is always smiling (through her tears maybe) but nonetheless, she is still willing to extend herself with her generous nature. She can't help but to be a gracious woman that loves life and lives it to the fullest. We need her. Her babies and grandbabies need her. The world is a better place with Shawn Marie Hamilton in it.
