We need your help and support for Mike Carita

If you have met our brother, you know he is an amazing man with a heart of gold.

Mike has pulled countless people from ditches over the years, literally and figuratively.

He is a mechanic, who fixes equipment such as vehicles, jet skis, mowers, and more. Maybe he’s even fixed something of yours.

Unfortunately, he is in a situation that cannot be easily fixed. We are reaching out to you because Mike needs all our help.

When Mike learned he had diabetes a few years ago, he did everything right. He made life changes to manage his diabetes by improving his diet, losing weight, and giving up cigarettes. Despite these efforts, Mike’s condition worsened.

Over the last several months, he has been in constant pain and under the care of several doctors, surgeons and specialists suffering the effects of atherosclerosis in both feet.

A portion of one toe was removed and stents were placed in his left leg. Immediately after, he had a toe on his right foot amputated.

Mike is currently at Duke hospital awaiting a below the knee amputation of his right leg and working on a follow-up plan to repair his blocked left leg.

We’re asking you to please give what you can to help Mike make ends meet during the unpredictable time of recovery as he is on unpaid leave.

We are raising money to help pay his medical bills, prosthetic and to add handicap accessible features to his house.
