Letterkenny Community Childcare Centre CLG (LCCC) is the only full day Community service in Letterkenny, and the Hinderlands with a population of approx 25,000.

We are a registered charity Not-for-profit organisation,employing 28 staff. LCCC are an award winning service, with a long standing relationship with the town of letterkenny as we have been in operation for 40 years this year.

We have never had to advertise for customers as as all referrals are by "word of mouth" from satisfied customers.

Our service is near four of the biggest employers in the county, as well as the general hospital and local technology university, most exisiting customers come from these sectors, which is a great advantage.

We are also located close to a large primary school and 8 housing estates, with after school children from 8 different schools attending.

We have 500 children on waiting lists. All our staff are long-term employees who are highly educated and trained.

LCC have been in its current facility for the last 20 years. We currently have 154 children attending and 140 families overall.

Unfortunately our building has MICA and has a life span of approx. 2 years.

We are seeking finance to support an expansion plan. A site has been identified and negotiations undertaken with the property owner to purchase the site. We aim to construct a 10,000sq ft Childcare Centre to the standards required under the Childcare Act (1991) regulations (2016).The expansion would triple capacity in the full day services. The aim is to keep the service in our current catchment area.

We have yet to recieve Government financial support despite being made aware of the situation for the last 3-4 years.

Letterkenny desperately needs our service please support us in our efforts to raise 2.5 million. The new facility will belong to and benefit the Community of Letterkenny for many years to come.
