We Need Your Help to Open Our Doors
Donation protected
Hi! We are Jen and Michelle. You may remember us as two of your favorite baristas from one of Ely's former favorite coffee shops. We want to bring back a place for the Ely community and visitors to gather for comforting coffee, delicious breakfast, and yummy baked goods (you may have already tried Jen's Cakery!).
We aim to open the doors ASAP, but we need your help! We are short on time and money to get our doors open for the community, but you've all made it known to us just how badly you want us to open!
With your help, we will be able to get the doors open as soon as possible for the community and tourists to enjoy.
Our location is 323 E Sheridan Street. Some of you may know it as "The Mantel House," built by Joseph Mantel in 1923. In past years, it has been home to a couple of different restaurants. The Forsman Family ran "Our Mom's Place" in the 70s/80s. It was then run as a bed and breakfast by the Knott Family in the early 90s. In 1997 it became a French restaurant run by Chef Pam Freeman and MasterChef Bernard Herrmann, aptly named, "The Mantel House."
Let's give this house the Centennial Anniversary it deserves and bring it back to life, with the bustle of people gathering over coffee and breakfast!
