WE STAND UNITED FOR IRAN

Iranian diaspora has been playing a crucial role in the #Women-Life-Freedom revolutionary movement worldwide to amplify the voice of the people in Iran fighting for their human rights. They have made many historic moments in Toronto, Berlin, Strasbourg, and many other cities around the world. Now that the regime is oppressing the protests in Iran, It’s our turn again to show the world that the revolution is not only alive, but it’s even stronger than ever before.

The February 11th Global Demonstrations

There have been calls for global demonstrations against the Islamic republic in major cities worldwide. In the United States, 3 major protests will be happening on Saturday, February 11th. Los Angles is holding a large protest on the West Coast, and so is Chicago in the Midwest region and Washington D.C. on the East Coast. So There’s an opportunity for Iranians in the United States to come together in these cities and add another historic day to the revolution’s calendar.

The Chicago Event

A lot of people have already confirmed that they will be coming to Chicago from Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Kentucky, and Minnesota. Therefore, we’re expecting a larger number of people to attend than they did on October 1st when roughly 3000 people showed up. This is where your help will go a long way.

All the efforts are being done voluntarily, and many small expenses are self-funded by volunteers. Although to better prepare for this event, we need your help to raise the necessary funds for the major costs.

Our goal is to raise $7,500 to cover the following costs:

• Permitting and Required Documents

• Sound System Rental Fee

• Guest Musician Performance Fee

• Supply & Equipment

• Staging & Canopy Rental Fee

• Travel Tickets & Hotel

About The Organizers:

We are a group of volunteers that neither belongs to any political party nor have any other purpose than being the voice of the people in Iran fighting for freedom. Since the beginning of this movement, we have been constantly spreading the word in Chicago through different events and activities. From marching on streets, and car rallies, to creating urban displays and artistic performances.
