We Still Got That Fire!

Tax deductible
One of the first songs we learned, Rebirth Brass Band's "We Got That Fire," has held special meaning for the School of HONK this past year, unsure at first whether we could keep our fire going during the pandemic. But despite challenges and occasional setbacks, we continue to make lively music and spontaneous fun together, while taking precautions to keep everyone safe.

Who knows what 2022 will bring, but we are making plans. We are hoping to gather indoors when it's safe, revive our evening sectionals and other programs, expand our online resources for making music while apart, and hopefully bring back our sorely-missed middle school camp next summer.

But with most of our overhead costs rising, and the opportunities to pass our bucket still limited, we need extra help to be able to make the most of whatever comes our way.

Now in our 8th year, we are a large and growing community of musicians who have played together most every Sunday, and participated in hundreds of parades and other performances for friends and neighbors all over town. We know times are hard, and feel extra lucky and grateful to share what joy and connection we can during these tough times. If you can, help us keep the fire going by making a donation to our year-end campaign.
