Girl meets boy. Girl and boy fall in love, and so the story begins: 
I met my soulmate at my best friends wedding in May of 2018 in South Africa. He was there on holiday for the celebrations from Australia and I was bridesmaid. For five months after a week of bliss we spoke over the phone until I flew to Australia on holiday to see if this would actually work and just like we read in the fairy tales it did and we were so happy! So happy in fact that I returned to spend Christmas and New Years with him and we were going to make plans to be together forever! 

In February of 2019 his sister landed up in hospital in a coma and that’s when everything changed.... 

Over the last almost two years I have been able to stay in Australia on a bridging visa to care for my partners sister and her now four year old son... you would think that’s a dream come true? Unfortunately not.... 

Because I am not legally allowed to earn money we are almost bankrupt as my partner is the only one with an income and he has three dependents. The person I care for is very abusive and manipulative that I have come home crying most days and have had a lot of dark thoughts as it has affected my mental and emotional health tremendously as well as the health of my relationship...

We have been in chats with our lawyer and a partner visa to stay in Australia and give me working rights is my only option... That brings me to coming to you, the people of go fund me. 

$8000 in the scheme of things is not a lot of money but it’s an amount that we physically cannot come by (we have tried everything). All we would like is a chance to be a normal couple and help me get out my abusive dark place that I am in.
