We want Justice for Maverick!

My niece and her best friend went to the Washington state fair grounds for the Christmas expedition with my nieces 9 month old puppy, Maverick. They were having a great time until her best friend started to feel jolts of electricity going through her entire body. Once they realized what was happening they tried to get Maverick away from the area. It was too late and he began yelping and convulsing. Medics arrived and tried to give him oxygen but he was already gone.

The fair management claimed he merely had a seizure. Local fire department and police stated he was electrocuted due to a live wire. Had the fair done their due diligence and taken safety seriously this wouldn’t have happened. This was her puppy - as if that isn’t devastating enough - but it could have been someone’s child.

We are seeking help for legal costs while we seek justice for Maverick. Anything helps - we won’t rest until we know nobody else will have to endure what my niece and her best friend have. The fairgrounds host family friendly events but are refusing to take the safety of their patrons seriously. It took a puppy dying and traumatizing my niece to call attention to this huge oversight. My niece works hard as a soldier in the Army Reserves. We want to help her as much as we can.
