WE'VE ORDERED ShrinerKid Alec's Sports Wheelchair

Alec Cabacungan.  The whole world knows him.  He's the SpokesKid for Shriners Hospitals for Children... and he's a Shriners Kid, himself.

Now, Alec is preparing to go to Northwestern University Fall 2020.  He wants to pursue his basketball playing, and demonstrate success to other kids and the world.  Alec has outgrown his kids' sportschair, and needs a new one to participate in college basketball.  That's where WE all come in.  Together, let's get Alec his sportschair to enable him to play basketball at Northwestern!

Now, let me tell you a bit about my relationship with Alec...

I love Alec.  I first met him when he was about 8 years old at Shriners Hospitals during an event I performed at.  Obviously, he was adorable; but, he was also amazingly inspirational with incredible spirit. 

When my Masonic Brother, "Hot Dog", and I started Special Bikes for Special Kids years ago, we didn't know Alec would win the first Special Bike we donated.  Alec and I have been friends since that day.


Alec joined me on WGN-TV's "Around Town with Ana Belaval" to promote one of our Special Bikes for Special Kids benefit concerts.  He was amazing, darting around on his Special Bike, able to move all over the room quickly and easily, laughing and showing us what he could do on that bike.  Ana interviewed Alec and me.  During that interview, I realized Alec has charisma, charm, skill, delivery, and the ability to masterfully communicate.  I told Alec he should be the spokeskid for Shriners Hospital.  Little did a know, just a few years later, he'd be that Spokeskid!

Over the years, Alec has been one of the most successful fundraisers in Shriners Hospitals' history.  He's a natural.  And, he's got a big heart.  He appreciates everything in Life.  He's my friend.  He'll be your friend, too.
