Kilee’s Home Care and Recovery

FINAL UPDATE. 30 January. Kilee is improving so much day to day. I am closing the fundraiser and once again send my everlasting gratefulness for all of the love, support and prayers.

New Update:  16 January - Finally got back into my Facebook page. So, of course a new update on Kilee Kamali. As you can see in this picture he is standing on his own and is able to walk in his own. Still regaining his strength. He doesn’t remember much of what happened to him, however, he knows he was on the street in DC during the days he was missing, and has a very deep pressure wound to show for it. Wound care is slow going and he’s being treated for an infection in the wound. I also promised an update on how the funds collected in his GoFundMe are being used. It turns out that the type of provider he has under MEDICAID does not provide any outpatient care or services. We are going to try and change providers. Other than that here is a run down: Private Investigator, who worked for a few days prior to planning a trip up here locally $350 Daily wound care nursing: 160/day $1,760 to-date. Wound debridement ointment not covered by Medicare: $350 Walker, Tub Chair, cane, medical supplies for wound care ~ $500. Total $2,960 Total raised $1,886. Your donations have made all the difference in the world. For those of you who have sent food, gifts for Kilee, moral support and thousands of prayers you have our everlasting gratitude. We simply cannot express the magnitude of pure joy and gratefulness that we feel.

Updating to say that Kilee is home!!!  Our hearts are so full.

KILEE HAS BEEN FOUND. He is in a hospital on a ventilator. But expected to make a full recovery. His medical costs may be formidable. However, as soon as I know I will give clear information and happily refund any donations if requested and if not needed. My heart is soaring. 

As many already know, my son, Kilee is missing since December 15. The police have been unable to find him. All activity on any platform, app and phone/electronic devices simply cease in the early morning of Dec 15th. I know two things: he would never leave his beloved cat, Zelda Jane without food or water, and he would never go this long without contacting me. He suffers from Bipolar Disorder and in the last five years has not once, gone without texting me for more than four days. (I have Zelda safe and sound with me.).

Now we have hired a fantastic Private Investigator to find him. And we are going to hire other experts to help find Kilee. Time is of the essence. If you are able to donate even the tiniest amount to help bring my firstborn, my heart, home, I would be eternally grateful.
