Weasel's Leg Surgery
Donation protected
Some of you have met Weasel (Louise/Weezy). If you haven't, here's a little bit about her:
Before we had an actual human baby, Weezy was the baby of the family. (She's a little attention-deprived now a days..) She's a cat who spends 90% of her time outside, goes on neighborhood walks with us like a pack animal, hunts bugs because her legs are too short to catch birds, greets you purring at your car when you pull in the driveway, and hides in cardboard boxes to attack anyone who walks by. She also loves to snuggle at night.
Three weeks ago she broke her leg, playing in the yard with Marty (who weighs 80lbs to her 8). I brought her in and heard how much surgery was and decided to try and splint/wait for it to heal that way. Apparently it's not healing well and it's not being helped by how often Weezy kicks off or shreds the bandage they re-apply each week. So now I would like to do surgery and we have already spent what was in the budget for the bandaging/sedating/x-raying. Reparative surgery is estimated to be 4k. :((( Even amputation is estimated to be 2-3k.
Any money donated will go straight to these medical costs and help tremendously. With a new baby and me not working much to be home with Jo... we just don't have the freedom to spend this amount of money in that way. So I feel a whole range of emotions in asking for help .. and I think that's what you're supposed to do when things are tough. Anything does help. So thank you. Thank you.
