Calling all prayer warriors. I would like you to meet Connie and Steven Williams. They have 3 children Nathaniel, Alyssa, and Christian. This family has been through numerous challenges the past couple of years.
In April 2020, Connie was diagnosed with HERS triple positive breast cancer. She received treatment at Cancer Treatment Center of America (CTCA) in Chicago during the beginning of the pandemic. She underwent a double mastectomy and was given a .01% chance of never getting breast cancer again.
On April 2, 2021 Connie went for her one year check up at CTCA. As she walked down the hallway, she had seen the bell that she was determined to ring after her check up to signify that she was cancer free. Unfortunately, she received news that she never would have thought she would hear.
Connie was then diagnosed with stage 2 HERS triple negative breast cancer. She is going through aggressive chemotherapy treatments for the next couple of months. She will be traveling back and forth to Chicago for treatment. Her husband is going to accompany her for as many trips as possible.
Steven has been battling Parkinson's disease. He has good days, but also very hard days. He has multiple appointments of his own, relying on his GI tube for nutrients. Connie is currently his primary care giver.
