Wedding Couple Steals Business for a Day!

Donation protected
Hi my name is Heidi. I'm a frequent patron of the Mansion Society and a long term resident of Indy.

On 12-31-23, the Mansion Society was in shock and awe by the absolute craziness that the day presented itself to be.

If you haven't seen their post on their Instagram, @mansionsocietyindy, please head over there and read the full post.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to show that our community loves and supports this Latina lady owned business and we don't want the rudeness and inconsiderate behaviors of this wedding couple to stop or slow down their business.

Here's a quick recap of what happened. And if you feel called to donate the price of a cup of coffee, please do so!

A wedding couple decided to bring 20-30 guests, a wedding party, and officiant into The Mansion Society without renting out the business or previous notice! The couple and guests rearranged the furniture, blocked paying customers/hallways/restrooms, asked employees to check coats and watch personal belongings all while only purchasing 6, yes, SIX lattes!

Times are tough and to put a small business under this amount of stress without any previous notice or meeting a specific Food & Beverage minimum is outrageous.

So I ask you, please donate the price of a cup of coffee, or whatever amount you feel called, to support this amazing business and show that our community is strong, caring and we don't support this behavior from this couple!

I estimated what might be the potential business lost that day, more than likely it was more. But anyway we can help would be appreciated!

30 guests x $8 (signature latte) = $240
20 missed patrons x $8 (signature latte) = $160
Tip = $100
Total = $500
Additional burden on business = $250
Total fundraising = $750

Since the wedding couple or guests couldn't show you the kindness your business shows us every day with your beautiful space and exquisite coffee creations - Indy community will!
We love you Mansion Society! ❤️

**UPDATE: since launching a lot of people have asked for me to reopen the Go Fund Me for Mansion Society. So I spoke with the coffee shop and they are overjoyed with this love and support of our community.
