Sarah's Recovery Fund

I have started this fundraiser for my dear friend, Sarah, due to her recent prolonged hospitalization and recovery.

Sarah fell ill with influenza, pneumonia, and ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome) in December of 2022. Sarah's hospitalization spanned three separate hospitals in Arizona. She required mechanical ventilation with sedation and paralyzation during her hospitalization; due to cardiac and respiratory failure. Sarah remained in a medical coma for almost three weeks.

Once Sarah was stable for discharge from the hospital, she was transferred to a rehab hospital that specializes in respiratory recovery. As she continued her recovery, she was then transferred to a rehab hospital that specializes in physical rehabilitation.

Throughout Sarah's prolonged hospitalization and recovery, she was gone from her home from December 21, 2022 through March 29, 2023. Sarah did not get to celebrate Christmas with her children & family; she is a mom to three minor children and the primary caregiver for her elderly parents.
