John Weeden Giving Story:

John Weeden has been an incredible blessing to so many lives. He and his family now need our support. In December, John was diagnoses with "end-stage pulmonary fibrosis". On March 18th, John went into the hospital with pneumonia. The next day, John was in the ICU and required life support to stay alive. While being on life support, John’s kidneys stopped working and he needed to go on dialysis, which complicated his eligibility for a lung transplant. Shands Hospital and Advent Health transplant program have turned him down. On March 30th, God gave a breakthrough in his journey! Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville told John’s wife, Andrea, that he would be a good candidate for a transplant, and they would do anything to help him, including a kidney transplant if necessary. Doctors from Advent Health and Mayo Clinic communicated and agreed on the best care moving forward to get him transferred. John had a tracheotomy procedure to help with the recovery and remains on life support. The doctors are weaning John’s sedation in order to get his muscles strong so that he can be ready to be transported to Jacksonville, where he will be evaluated for a lung transplant. We have seen God show up in many ways, performing miracles, opening doors and making a way when there seems to be no way! We need to continue praying for His power to see John fully restored. We also need to see a financial miracle to help the Weeden family through this difficult journey. Andrea is using up all her paid medical leave. She has total four weeks paid leave and has used two weeks already. On top of the high medical costs for hospitalization and surgery, she will have to stop working to stay with John in Jacksonville for at least three months as his full time caregiver. Many people have asked “how can we help”. Here is a tangible way to show care and support to John, Andrea and their family. We are looking to raise enough money to help with expensive medical bills along with the high probability of Andrea missing multiple months of work to care for John. Thank you all for your support. To God be the glory, come what may.

“To God be the glory, come what may”. - John Weeden
