The Food Superheroes - Fighting Hunger

Hello, we are Team Food Super Heroes. Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider helping with our cause. I have seen firsthand how families can struggle to put food on the table to feed their family. Raising four children was not easy, and some years were harder than others. The last thing any parent wants to see is their child hungry, and there's nothing you can do. The U.S. has programs to help needy families with assistance programs, helping them until they can get on their feet again. Other countries outside the U.S. do not have these programs available to help them. This is where and how we can help families and get them fed.

A basic physiological need that everyone has and NEEDS to survive is not so simple for everyone. Food insecurity is a condition of not having enough or the right kinds of food available to support a healthy body.

Global Facts on Food Insecurity (Action Against Hunger, 2024):

733 million people go to bed hungry each night

Hunger affects almost 30% of people worldwide

1 in 11 people suffer from hunger

50% of deaths from food insecurity are children

Action Against Hunger takes a tailored approach to address communities in need. Our donations not only help feed those in need, but additional resources are also used to help start up local markets. They also help communities create sustainable food sources.

The hunger in our society is a concerning social issue. Many homeless people here in the US don’t have enough food to eat and go to bed hungry. Raising awareness is important so that we help our community out through food banks and donations. A good portion of the US population are living paycheck to paycheck, and many are homeless and with food insecurities, not knowing when/where their next meal is going to come from. Inflation has gotten out of control, exacerbating the problem of hunger in America and abroad. Having healthy food to eat is a basic human right that cannot be ignored.
