Wegner Family Flood Fund

Donation protected
Friday Oct. 30, 2015 the home of my friend, her husband, and their four children flooded. Toni was the only one home as the time, and as the water crept towards his house he was busy helping a disabled neighbor evacuate his house next door. When Toni finally waded away from his own home there was 3 feet of water flowing through it. When they waded back later there was only a foot and a half of standing water still there, but marks on the wall indicated the water had risen to at least 4 feet. The coffee table was blocking the hallway, the bathroom rug was in the kitchen, and the refrigerator was lying on its side. As Darla put it, "it looks like someone took my house and shook it."

The Wegner family have always worked hard to show up when others are in need. They have been very active in outreach through their church, they adopted two children out of foster care, have taken many mission trips to build homes in Mexico, and have been a God send to many friends, myself included. Now they could use a hand, and I am hoping the love they have shown so many others will be showered back on them.

At this point it is really not clear what the financial burden on the family will be, or how long they will be displaced from their home, so any and all help is appreciated, in whatever form it comes.

>just to clarify-- the teenager in the back row is not fighting cancer<
