My Veterinary Study Abroad Opportunity

My name is Bri,

and I am an aspiring veterinarian and veterinary nurse with a focus in zoological conservation at Murray State University... Go Racers! I would like to study abroad in Australia to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary next summer to gain experience in wildlife conservation and zoo management. 

I am in the Honors College at school and a program requirement is to study abroad somewhere. I've chosen a two week program in my major that provides hands-on opportunities in taking care of wildlife and the actions taken behind running a zoo to benefit the animals it houses.

Through my education I wish to find places in wildlife conservation parks and/or zoos where I can help with conservation and rehabilitation efforts of endangered or threatened species.

Keeping the animals we have on our planet thriving and healthy will ensure that our ecosystems remain stable and will give generations after us a chance to experience the wonderful biodiversity our planet hosts so as to develop an appreciation for their personal existence alongside all living organisms. 

I am paying for college on my own alongside a few student loans and financial aid but know that it's not possible to do everything completely by myself. The job I have during school has low weekly hours & wages and can only support the necessities in my life like toilet paper and trash bags. This is why I am asking for help. 

Any support from those reading my post will be greatly appreciated and put exclusively towards funding for my program. A few dollars can be just enough to get me across the world volunteering within my future career. It's indescribable how eager I am to have the opportunity to learn how to provide enrichment for dingoes, give check-ups to kangaroos & koalas, and learn how to handle bandicoots, possums and pythons.
