Hiiii,

My top surgery has fiiiinally been scheduled for January 21, 2025 :o

Can I just say: AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

I feel so grateful and lucky to be receiving this gender-affirming care and I hope and pray that gender-affirming care reaches all who seek it, and that the multitude of barriers that it is held behind crumble

After years of binding my chest, several phone calls with my insurance company, three different consultations across two countries, in-depth conversations with trans resource centers, and hours of reading through Reddit threads, I'm so close to feeling a lil more at home in my body :')

All of thiiiis to say that I've been waddling through the confusing world of medical bureaucracy for a while on my own, and with my surgery a few months away now, I've had to acknowledge and accept that I need some help from my support system

There will be a few costs to cover as part of this surgery: hospital charges, accommodation costs post-op, travel costs, costs for certain necessities to ensure the healing process goes smoothly and, lastly, financial support for the duration of healing where I'll be unable to work :-/
