In Memory of Gary Weingarten for Virginia Coe

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you honor Gary's legacy of generosity, family, love, support and kindness. ...
Gary Weingarten - devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, friend, and human. Gary passed away in the early hours of February 7, 2024 at his home in Lake Gaston, North Carolina, surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.
For all that knew Gary know that his love for his family knows no bounds, and will continue through generations.
In true form of the man that quietly stood by his family in an unwavering, unfaltering way, one of his last wishes is to carry his memory and legacy forward by supporting one of his dearest family members.
Gary's niece, Virginia Coe, is also battling cancer. Diagnosed recently at a remarkably young age, withStage IV low-grade serous ovarian cancer. Virginia's first surgery to remove the tumors was rendered as inoperable, and has been followed by aggressive rounds of chemotherapy and hormone therapy. Moving into the fourth round of treatment soon, Virginia is undergoing scans to evaluate surgery again for removal, and additional chemotherapy both short and long term.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you honor Gary's legacy of generosity, family, love, support and kindness. One of Gary's final wishes was to support Virginia through her challenges of ovarian cancer and see her through this time to becoming a cancer survivor.
Your generous donations to honor Gary and Virginia together will directly contribute to alleviating the financial burden of medical expenses and extended leave of absence from work related to this unexpected illness.
Most importantly, this is what Gary wanted - and it will be a powerful expression of love and solidarity to honor the man we will all miss so deeply.
