Weir Family Emergency Fund
As many of you know by now our neighbour, friend and local Errington family lost their home last night in a fire.
Zoë, Matt and her 2 sons were woken late last evening by her mom who lives in the suite attached to the house with the horrible news that the house was already engulfed in flames. They were all able to exit safely saving all the animals and thanks to the help of some neighbours, move the vehicles and grab the bare minimum essentials from the home before it was no longer safe.
The fire department arrived shortly after but the house was beyond saving.
Many of you may know Zoë as she has grown up in the area, her family are long time residents of the Nanaimo and Oceanside area and her children were both born and are being raised here. She is a one of a kind soul with the biggest most loving heart who would gladly give you the shirt off her back without question and truly deserves all the help and support we can offer. She was so proud and grateful for the opportunity to purchase this beautiful home for her boys to grow up in the country and to share with her love, Matt.
On behalf of the family we would like to thank the Errington and Coombs fire departments, the neighbours, the concerned well wishes and everyone who has offered support and condolences.
At this time the family cannot take any tangible items and any and all donations are hugely appreciated as they try to put together their lives over the next few month.
Thank You All
