Help Palestinian Family from Gaza Get Settled in The US

Amjad, Fadi, and their four year-old daughter, Ghady, have been issued a visa to live in the US! After surviving the genocide in Gaza for 5 months, the family were evacuated to Egypt where they've been residing since. They've been living off of fundraised money as they have no income, their home was destroyed by airstrikes, and they lost most of their possessions. Their family members are still in Gaza, and Amjad and Fadi are doing their best to support them from abroad.

The family will arrive next week! It was a very fast turnaround and we're doing our best to prepare for their arrival. They need help buying plane tickets, establishing immediate housing, and all the other expenses of starting their lives in the states. Because Amjad's visa is a work visa, the family is not eligible for government assistance and they will rely exclusively on Amjad's income once she finds employment. For these reasons, we've set the goal to $30,000. Let's get them settled comfortably in their new home with as little stress as possible so they may get a chance to finally exhale.

My name is Aaron. I am a friend and former student of Amjad's when she taught at the University of Texas at Austin. I will be managing the funds raised from this GFM. With the help of our community, we've done our best to support Amjad and her family over these past 11 months through fundraising and visa application assistance. We are so excited to support them as they become our neighbors.
