My name is Allison and I'm putting together this GoFundMe for two of my best friends. They're the kind of people that continuously go out of their way to make you feel special. So this is a small way to show them how special I, and everyone else, know they are. In their own words, here is a little about their journey:
We are Christine and Miles Deason. We have known each other since 4th grade and have always adored one another. We got married at 20 years old and felt like we enjoyed being kids for as long as we wanted. We decided that when we were ready to grow our family, we would adopt. In November of 2018 we decided to fill out an application with Holt International to adopt from China! After learning that the China program was all special needs little ones, looking for their families, we knew that it was for us.
In April , we were matched with our daughter! She’s 4 1/2 years old, precious, giggly, always seems to be smiling and ready for fun. We are so very excited to get to know her and play a lot! Her name will be Millie Mei. We are so very grateful to have found her and to become her parents!
All of this happened sooner than we anticipated, which is exciting but also means that expenses normally spread out over years have now accumulated in less than a year. We are saving for travel expenses and any therapies Miss Millie needs when we return home but there are some unknowns we want to be financially prepared for. We also would love to gather a donation to Millie’s orphanage. We are so thankful for her orphanage and caretakers. Because of them she has been cared for and shown love. So, we have decided to raise money instead of asking for a baby shower. We appreciate anything you’re able to donate and thank you so very much for helping us on this journey.
