We’ll always Believe! In Memory of Jamie Barile.

Hello friends and family of Jamie V. Barile,

It is with much sadness that I write this tonight. Born on December 20th, 1986, Jamie came into this world a true light. She shined so brightly in every room. Her smile was exceptionally contagious. She had a laugh you could hear from a mile away. Jamie was funny, witty, strong, and very stubborn! She did not like her mom to tell her what to do! Even though, we all know, Janeen always had the last word!

Jamie fought a long hard battle with Wilson’s disease. She went into the hospital with complaints in the Fall of 2004. Little did we know when passing her in the hallways at Lincoln High School in Ellwood City that those weeks leading up to would be for the last time. She never got to walk beside us at graduation or enjoy any life that she should have had at the age of 17 through almost 38.

Jamie has been bedridden and robbed of her life since 2004 thanks to this unforgiving disease. She had many friends and family that still cling onto her well memories today. They had held benefits, made yearly ornaments in her honor, and helped with many prayer chains over the years.

Jamie’s Mom has been her main caregiver with the help of many in home nurses over the years. Janeen has been there for her day in and day out among her own struggles. Kristen, one of Jamie’s older sisters also passed away of this disease. Jimmy, Janeen’s companion also lost his life recently of cancer, who also helped care for Jamie. Jessica, Jamie’s oldest sister has been Janeen and Jamie’s rock. She has been the main organizer of 13 Golf outings for Jamie! Janeen has been dealt a hand no one should have been dealt but she has walked with such strength through these years and is tough as they come. It doesn’t make her pain any less. Janeen also has had her own health issues but has always put herself aside for the needs of Jamie.

We all have struggles and carry a heavy load but it is our job as humans to lift others up however we can. As a friend of Janeen and Jamie I am asking that if you can find it in your heart to help with a monetary donation so that Jamie can be given the memorial she deserves. Janeen and Jamie’s sister Jessica along with the rest of their family would be forever grateful.

As a friend of hers since 1st Grade, she deserves this. The reason I chose 19,000 as the goal was hoping to raise $1,000 for every year Jamie battled Wilson’s with everything she had.
