Wells Family Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Sharona Hollenbach, and I'm creating this fundraiser for an incredible woman whose family needs your help to pay for her hospital expenses and aftercare.

Jodi has been in and out of the hospital since the beginning of this year. This time it is serious! On July 7th, 2022, Jodi was rushed to the hospital due to significant pain in her back and other sick-related issues. She was immediately emitted to the ICU as she was diagnosed with sepsis, "blood poisoning" from a very large kidney stone. Due to the severity of the poisoning, she has been put under sedation, is being fed threw a tube, on a ventilator, and now there is concern about her heart, and they have a defibrillator attached to her chest in case her heart stops. When will this suffering ever end? Earlier this year she fell and had to have surgery on her femur, and wrist, and obtain several staples in her forehead. Her wonderful and loving husband Russ Wells continues to hold everything together by continuing to work, take care of the many rescue animals Jodi has obtained throughout the years and visit Jodi as much as he can. I do not know what else to do for this family but to help raise money to pay for these tremendous ICU bills.

A little history on Jodi Wells. Several years while working together for the State. I was immediately impressed by the joy and obvious empath for all those she knew. My husband and I became friends with her husband Russ. We shared struggles and victories. We celebrated milestone birthdays, births of children, and their lovely grandchildren.

Jodi left her state position about 7 years ago and has ever since struggled with physical issues as well as emotional issues brought on by illness of uncertainty. Russ has been so supportive while continuing to encourage her to do what she can. In April, when Jodi fell, she went through 2 surgeries, 2 weeks in the hospital, and 3 weeks in a rehab facility. Later she was finally able to go home.

I cannot tell you enough how happy she and Russ were to have her home! Since she has been set up in a hospital bed with the Parrots (Jodi is part of bird rescue and was just about to transition from her hospital bed in the living room to her bed). Their children and grandchildren flew in to have some Pappy and Granny time when this all happened. She hasn't even been able to see them yet! I pray that she comes out of this alive and strong!
