UPDATE APRIL 2024: This is the hardest thing I have ever had to update. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to type out. March 31, 2024 at 5:41pm Kirsten and Kyle lost Magnolia Grace Welsh. She is now with Jesus looking over her mom and dad. Kirsten asked me to update the GoFundMe page and I'm not sure how she even had the space in her brain to ask me.
My best friend of 12 years lost her 17 month old during chemo treatment complications. This little girl never saw much of anything other than a hospital room. I ask you now more than ever before to help them during this time. Donate anything you can. They are paying for a funeral for their only daughter.
If you can't donate please share as much as possible. My heart is breaking as I'm sure everyone else's is. We cannot fathom the pain they are feeling. Lift them up in prayers and thoughts. Please just help out the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. They didn't deserve this. Magnolia didn't deserve this. No one deserves this.
I'm sorry to have to update everyone with this news but I hope you can find it in your heart to help out this amazing family in need.
UPDATE March 2024: Hey everyone! It's Meghan again. I wanted to give everyone an update on sweet Magnolia. Last year Magnolia was diagnosed with Leukemia at 7 months old. She went through chemo and received a bone marrow transplant and everything was successful and she was cancer free. In January of this year, unfortunately, her cancer came back and it's more aggressive and smarter than before.
Kirsten, Kyle, and Magnolia are back in the hospital as of yesterday. Even though they were able to move closer to the hospitals they are still in need of help. I raised the goal higher than the original instead of creating a whole new GoFundMe.
They need your help now more than ever. I left the previous description up to let you know what your money will be going towards. If you prefer to donate items or privately feel free to message me or Kirsten.
If you can donate anything please do! Nothing is expected but everything is appreciated. If you can't donate please just share as much as possible!
May 2023: Hello everyone. My name is Meghan. I am currently raising money for my best friend Kirsten and her wonderful family who are going through a rough time at the moment. Kirsten and Kyle’s 7 month old daughter, Magnolia, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and they have a long road ahead of them. While Magnolia’s medical bills are covered Kirsten is staying hours away from home due to the remote location of her husband’s job. They have animals at home with medical needs and are still paying for someone to stay at their home and take care of everything.
They are currently staying in a hospital room and can’t cook their own meals so they’ve been eating out and ordering food a lot. Magnolia’s little clothes don’t fit so she’ll need bigger clothes. She will soon lose her hair so she’ll need hats, bows, etc. She is immunocompromised so she’ll need toys and books to keep her occupied while she’s being cooped up. They’ll need money for therapy for her. Driving back and forth from their home hours away with these gas prices also add up.
These are just a few of the many things they’ll need. So if you could please donate any sort of amount just know anything is appreciated. If you’d prefer to send items you may message me privately and I’ll send you more information.
