Wenatchee Seekers Passion Project Fundraiser

Hi! My name is Piper Collins and I am a 7th grader at Pinnacles Prep Charter School. Every Spring at my school, scholars create Passion Projects. This is where we choose one thing that we are passionate about or want to help grow. For my Passion Project, I am choosing to help Jorge Castenada (Wenatchee Seekers) with his mission to support unhoused people in our community through this Go Fund Me and a donation drive.

Wenatchee Seekers serve the homeless. The founder of Seekers was addicted to drugs and unhoused at one time. He is now known as 'the Hot Chocolate Guy' who goes around helping people who are in the same struggle that he used to be. He sits with them and talks with them and offers help with things they need and friendship. He advocates for those living on the streets in our area. Jorge says that' having lived as an addict on the streets and finding a way out of that lifestyle, I feel that the Lord has impressed on my heart to go back and help guide others out and to His Son'.

I asked Wenatchee Seekers what they would like people in Wenathee to know about what they do. Seekers wants people to realize that EVERYONE is deserving of being loved. No matter what your choices or decisions, no matter why you are 'homeless', you deserve to be loved becuase you're a child of God and our brother and sister'.
